It's not Dusty Springfield's fault that "Son of a Preacher Man" is maybe the most overplayed soul tune ever. The song happens to be one of the genre's gems: great lead and backing vocal work, clean horns, a hell of a bassline, an amazing drum kit performance (the ride hits at the end of the song are just friggin' dirty), and a key change. Goes up a fourth from Emaj to Amaj.
